Welcome to METNY's Hidon HaTorah Resource Bank!

Who We Are

METNY is the Metropolitan New York District of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Hidon HaTorah is the annual Torah knowledge competition for 6th graders from METNY's congregational schools. METNY's District Director, Rabbi Charlie Savenor, welcomes all of our schools to participate.

How to Use This Wiki

The purpose of this wiki is to create a space where coaches can put up practice quizzes and teaching strategies to help all of our schools achieve excellence. The links to the left also provide you with easy access to resources such as the reading packet and Intent to Participate form. Each page includes a Discussion tab at the top. This area works as a forum for educators to share their ideas with one another and ask each other questions.

When you post something that includes Hebrew writing, please post it in .pdf format. If you do not have the proper software, you can use this website to convert a Word document to a PDF file: https://online.primopdf.com/Default.aspx.
